- This is a wonderfully touching, beautifully produced, coming-of-age story set on a resplendent ranch in Argentina. Three children from Buenos Aires, Laura, Daniel and Felipe, visit their grandfather on his horse ranch. This summer vacation will remain particularly vivid for Laura and Daniel. Felipe, the youngest, will fondly recall his new puppy, while Daniel's memories will center on the challenges of breaking in his first horse and his friendship with Martin, the foreman's son. Thirteen-year-old Laura is the oldest of the three, neither a child or an adult. While visiting the ranch she experiences confusion and self doubt, and questions her grandfather's feelings toward her. Armed with courage and the support of their family, each confronts important concerns and grows because of it
