- Das Ausstellungsprojekt setzt sich in kritisch-analytischer Weise mit der Kunstpolitik im Nationalsozialismus auseinander, die für das Selbstbild des Regimes wesentlich war. Der Titel "Artige Kunst" versteht sich als Gegenbegriff zur diffamierenden NS-Terminologie der "entarteten Kunst". Gezeigt werden exemplarische Werke der offiziell geduldeten und geförderten Kunst der NS-Zeit, dazu in prägnanter Gegenüberstellung Werke von verfolgten und verfemten Künstlern, die ein differenziertes Gegenbild zur überwiegenden Einfältigkeit der systemkonformen Kunst entwerfen.
